School of HR Student Alumni Committee
School of HR Alumni Committee primarily works on maintaining the relationship with the esteemed Alumni of the institute. The key focus is to engage with Alumni on various levels in order to develop and strengthen the bond with Alumni. The Committee takes multiple initiatives and conducts various events throughout the year to keep continuous associations with the Alumni of the institute. The committee has taken a few steps ahead in the last academic year to achieve its mission and vision by conducting various events. The major events for the Academic year, 2019-20, were Tathagat ’19, LeadX ’19 and the Alumni Homecoming. Along with that, the committee had collaborated with Dean’s office on two major events – HR Symposium ’19 and Leadership talk by Ms. Sunita Rout, and with XIMAHR during Kshitij ’19. The committee also conducted regular KYA (Know Your Alumni) sessions with revered alumni like Mr. Ayaskant Sarangi, Mr. Magesh M S, Mr. Ankush Arora and Mr. Dhritiman Indranil. Impromptu Leadership talks had also been conducted, featuring Alumni, who had visited the campus in the academic year.
Tathagat ‘19:
We hosted two of our recent graduates, Ms. Vinnata Rout and Mr. Ankit Chatterjee, on 22nd September’19 who shared their experiences in the corporate world right after MBA and guided us for our upcoming journey.
LeadX ‘19:
A couple of sessions have been conducted for LeadX where senior alumni with experience in the industry delivered insightful session to the first-year students on current HR affairs.
In the 1st Session we hosted Mr. Ankush Arora, Senior VP & Head Human Resources, Grofers, who delivered a talk on ‘The Changing online supermarket and developing leaders as per industry demands’. A KYA was also conducted with him.
In the 2nd session we hosted Mr. Dhritiman Indranil, HR Manager, L&T, who delivered an engaging session on ‘Emotional Intelligence and Journey from being an HR Student to a successful HR Professional’. A KYA was also conducted with him.
The Alumni Homecoming:
The Alumni Homecoming 2020 had been one of the major event where our esteemed Alumni across the batches were invited to revisit their Alma Mater as a token of gratitude. It had been an honour for the Alumni Committee to host some of our esteemed Alumni on the campus and get an opportunity to interact with them and share moments and memories with them. It was a event filled with fun and nostalgia.

- Ms. Sonal Singh, an esteemed alumna from the batch of 2017, currently working for Lear Corporation as HR Business Partner (Corporate Functions) and HR Analytics,recently received the prestigious Lear Cap of Honor Gold for 2019, for her contributions at Lear Corporation.
- Ms. Kaumudi Misra, XIMB batch of 1995 is the recipient of the Marvin Remmich Outstanding Faculty Award, 2019 for teaching at the College of Business and Economics in California State University East Bay.
- Ms. Ankita Poddar, HR Business Partner, Amazon has been identified by People Matters as one of the 15 Emerging HR Leaders in the country in 2016.
- Ms. Shrusti Mohanty, HR Business Partner, Capgemini has been recognized as the winner of ‘Are You in The List’ - an initiative by People Matters to identify “Emerging Future HR Leaders”.
- Mr. Sidharth Rath, belonging to the class of 1992, has been appointed as the MD and CEO of Mauritius based SBM Bank.
