XIMAHR
XIMAHR, the HR functional committee organised events like JAM (Just a Minute) and DecipHR for the first-year students to allow them to showcase their talents and increase their knowledge about HR and other business areas. We successfully organised ‘Kshitij’, the flagship event of the committee which aspires to build a bridge between academia and industry. Eminent leaders from the field of HR/IR came under one roof to discuss emerging and relevant HR themes. We also collaborated with the School of HR administration in organising the HR Symposium where students witnessed panel discussions with distinguished leaders on generational differences in HRM and its effects on recruitment, onboarding, rewards, recognition, and culture.
Along with the above events, the committee also held ‘Tol-Mol‘, a learning event involving the negotiation between trade unions and management. Think HR Sessions, discussions on various topics of academic importance aimed at sharing knowledge and experience with first-year HR students we held ‘Think HR Sessions’, and discussions on various topics of academic importance.
Students were offered numerous educational learning opportunities in terms of immersion courses offered by industry experts covering crucial topics in the field of HR, and Live Projects in an attempt to increase industry engagement.
This year, XIMAHR conducted a DEI workshop with Axis Bank to deepen understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles and their role in fostering inclusive, innovative workplaces.
EXEMPLAR
Exemplar is the HR Corporate Competition Committee dedicated to preparing students to excel in corporate competitions. Primary goal is to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle diverse challenges by conducting sessions on key areas such as Marketing, Finance, Operations, PPT making, video making, and more. Exemplar also hosts interactive sessions led by finalists of various competitions, offering valuable insights into effectively addressing problem statements. Exemplar facilitates end-to-end processes for prestigious competitions hosted by top companies in India, ensuring seamless participation and guidance for students. Additionally, it organizes specialized sessions across different verticals to give SHRM students a competitive edge and make them competition-ready.
Exemplar tracks and promotes competitions hosted by leading organizations, ensuring adherence to student code of conduct. Through these initiatives, Exemplar empowers students to thrive in the competitive corporate landscape, providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed.

Set the Scene 2024
Set the Scene was an engaging intra-college case study competition organized by the Exemplar Committee for the MBA-HRM Batch 2024-26. The event kicked off with teams analyzing a provided case study and submitting a 2-slide presentation outlining their solutions. The top 5 teams advanced to the final round, where they presented their solutions to a panel of judges, who evaluated them based on clarity, feasibility, and innovation. The top 3 teams were awarded cash prizes, and all finalists received certificates. This event aimed to enhance students’ problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills, providing a platform to showcase their strategic thinking and creativity.
Hera Pheri 2024
Hera Pheri was a dynamic business simulation event organized by the Exemplar Committee for the MBA-HRM Batches 2023-25 and 2024-26. The event featured multiple rounds, starting with a Kahoot quiz on business news to shortlist participants. In the subsequent rounds, participants took on roles such as CEO, CHRO, or VP, engaging in hiring simulations and decoding competency priorities to earn bonuses. The highlight was the Bollywood Round, where teams creatively presented their company culture using references from Bollywood movies. The winning team was determined based on cumulative scores across all rounds, focusing on VP ratings, budget balance, and creativity. Hera Pheri aimed to develop strategic thinking, negotiation, teamwork, and presentation skills, offering students a fun yet challenging learning experience.


SHRM Alcom Committee
School of HR Alumni Committee primarily works on maintaining the relationship with the esteemed Alumni of the institute. The key focus is to engage with Alumni on various levels in order to develop and strengthen the bond with Alumni. The Committee takes multiple initiatives and conducts various events throughout the year to keep continuous associations with the Alumni of the institute. The committee has taken a few steps ahead in the last academic year to achieve its mission and vision by conducting various events.
The XIM HR Alumni Committee successfully hosted Tathagat’24, an interactive alumni session for the MBA-HRM Batch of 2024-26. The session featured our esteemed alumni, Ms. Sneha Sarah Thomas, Mr. Rohan Chauhan, and Ms. Neha Shukla [2022-24], who shared their valuable insights and experiences as they transitioned into the corporate world after completing their MBA. Their perspectives provided students with a deeper understanding of industry dynamics, career challenges, and the strategic role of HR, making the session both inspiring and insightful.
The LeadX series by the XIM HR Alumni Committee is a dynamic initiative aimed at providing MBA-HRM students with valuable insights from industry experts and alumni. Each session focuses on critical HR topics, blending theoretical knowledge with practical experiences.
- LeadX 1.0 featured Mr. Soumya Shankha Banerjee (AVP-Talent Management, Bandhan Bank), who discussed modern recruitment strategies and behavioral interviews.
- LeadX 2.0 saw Mr. Shakti Nandan explore innovative compensation strategies to meet the needs of today’s workforce.
- LeadX 3.0 was led by Ms. Madhuri Kejriwal (Walmart Global Tech), focusing on change management and fostering adaptability in organizations.
- LeadX 4.0 featured Mrs. Vidya Balakrishnan, who emphasized leadership development and emotional intelligence in HR practices.
- LeadX 5.0 concluded with Ms. Himani Tandon (Nestlé) discussing talent intelligence, data analytics, and AI in HR, highlighting their impact on business outcomes.
These sessions offer students a deeper understanding of HR’s evolving role and equip them with strategies to excel in their careers.
The Xplorate 2025 event marked a significant milestone for the XIM HR Alumni Committee as it was the first time the flagship event was conducted on such a large scale and entirely offline. Featuring esteemed C-Suite alumni—Mr. Satyadeep Mishra (Class of ‘99), Mr. Arnab Pal (Class of ‘05), and Ms. Annapurna J (Class of ‘02)—the event centered around the theme “Driving Employee Longevity: Fostering a Culture that Supports Long-Term Business Success through Talent Retention.” The panel discussion provided deep insights into creating sustainable workplace cultures, while the dynamic Q&A session allowed students to engage directly with the alumni, gaining valuable perspectives on talent retention and long-term business success. This offline, large-scale event not only strengthened the alumni-student connection but also set a new benchmark for future flagship events.
Tathagat ‘19:
We hosted two of our recent graduates, Ms. Vinnata Rout and Mr. Ankit Chatterjee, on 22nd September’19 who shared their experiences in the corporate world right after MBA and guided us for our upcoming journey.




LeadX ‘19:
A couple of sessions have been conducted for LeadX where senior alumni with experience in the industry delivered insightful session to the first-year students on current HR affairs.
In the 1st Session we hosted Mr. Ankush Arora, Senior VP & Head Human Resources, Grofers, who delivered a talk on ‘The Changing online supermarket and developing leaders as per industry demands’. A KYA was also conducted with him.
In the 2nd session we hosted Mr. Dhritiman Indranil, HR Manager, L&T, who delivered an engaging session on ‘Emotional Intelligence and Journey from being an HR Student to a successful HR Professional’. A KYA was also conducted with him.
The Alumni Homecoming:
The Alumni Homecoming 2020 had been one of the major event where our esteemed Alumni across the batches were invited to revisit their Alma Mater as a token of gratitude. It had been an honour for the Alumni Committee to host some of our esteemed Alumni on the campus and get an opportunity to interact with them and share moments and memories with them. It was a event filled with fun and nostalgia.
